The okibi CLI

Install and update okibi

Install the okibi CLI on macOS, Linux, or Windows, keep it current, and remove it.

okibi is a small client for the hosted Okibi platform. It has no build engine and holds no keys of its own.

Install

Terminal
curl -fsSL https://okibi.ai/install | sh

Then check it worked:

Terminal
okibi --version

What the installer does

  1. Detects your OS and architecture and reads the current release from releases.okibi.ai/latest.json.
  2. Downloads the matching archive and verifies its SHA-256 before unpacking it.
  3. Installs okibi and okibi-tui. On macOS and Linux they live under ~/.local/share/okibi and are linked into ~/.local/bin. On Windows they live under %LOCALAPPDATA%\okibi and okibi is added to your PATH.
  4. Installs the Okibi agent skill into ~/.agents/skills/okibi and links it into the coding agents it finds. See The okibi skill.

Running the installer again upgrades okibi and its skill in place.

Change where it installs

Set these before running the installer:

VariableDefaultControls
OKIBI_INSTALL_ROOT~/.local/share/okibiWhere versions are unpacked
OKIBI_BIN_DIR~/.local/binWhere okibi is linked
OKIBI_SKILLS_DIR~/.agents/skillsWhere the agent skill is installed

Update

okibi checks the signed release channel in the background and updates itself. To check right now:

Terminal
okibi update

To turn off background updates, set OKIBI_NO_AUTO_UPDATE=1.

Uninstall

On macOS and Linux, remove the binaries, the installed versions, the skill, and the saved login:

Terminal
okibi auth logout
rm -rf ~/.local/share/okibi ~/.agents/skills/okibi ~/.config/okibi ~/.okibi
rm -f ~/.local/bin/okibi ~/.local/bin/okibi-tui

Then delete the okibi links in your agents' skill folders. The okibi skill lists where they are.
